Blair R. Jackson
Partner, Invictus Law, PC

Blair began his professional career working for a regional heavy duty trucking dealership as the general manager in Idaho Falls, Idaho. In that position he gained valuable management and sales experience.

Although he and his wife loved the beautiful outdoors offered in Idaho, Blair left this position and moved to Washington D.C. to work for the United Nations Foundation. At that time he also enrolled as a student at the Georgetown University Law Center.

While a student, Blair eventually moved to a position with the U.S. government working on appropriations language for various bills. Both positions provided extensive and valuable drafting and writing experience.

Before graduating from Georgetown, Blair also took advantage of unique opportunities to work as an editor for the law journal and to work at as a summer intern. One summer internship took him to Santiago, Chile, working for the largest law firm in Chile.

Blair actively practices in Utah, Nevada, California, Idaho, and Alaska.

Jarred A. Henline
Sr. Associate, Invictus Law, PC

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jarred Henline worked as an accountant. He attended the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Jarred gained experience and insight into the inner workings of the business community while working for a small Salt Lake company where he kept the daily accounting records, prepared financial statements and conducted internal audits. Jarred also worked with a local CPA firm, where he audited the financial statements of public companies and prepared tax returns for individuals, businesses and partnerships.

In the fall of 2006, Jarred left accounting and entered the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon. While a student, Jarred gained extensive legal knowledge and experience as a clerk for a civil litigation firm. In that position, he worked as part of the litigation team and focused his efforts on filing complaints and discovery efforts for those injured by others. In another position, Jarred prosecuted misdemeanor and felony jury trials on behalf of the State of Oregon.

Before graduating early in December 2008, Jarred participated in many extracurricular activities at Willamette. These included serving as an advisor to incoming law students, working as a Citation Editor for the College of Law’s Sports Journal and writing for the Willamette Law Online legal journal. He also competed in several mock trials as a member of Willamette’s Moot Court Board.

As an attorney, Jarred has applied his legal knowledge and extensive experience to serve both the Colorado and Utah community. Jarred has advocated for those wrongfully injured. He has helped his clients through painful divorces while arguing for their parental and financial interests. He has defended those accused of wrongdoing by government entities and has helped those seeking financial redress from harassing creditors to regain financial peace of mind. Jarred loves being an attorney, serving others and looks forward to helping you in all your legal needs.

Michelle L. Christensen
Attorney, Invictus Law, PC

Michelle L. Christensen graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts. She then went on to attend law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law where she graduated Cum Laude.

After graduating from law school, Michelle served as Associate General Counsel at Flying J’s bank, Transportation Alliance Bank, for three years. Within her first year of practicing as an attorney, Michelle was nominated by the Utah State Bar members as one of the top 52 Corporate Attorneys in Utah. She also served as Associate General Counsel for WorkingRx for one year and thereafter, worked in private practice for three years.

Michelle has now joined our firm where she practices family law and business litigation. Michelle also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Utah Humane Society.

Robert Nix
Paralegal, Invictus Law, PC

Robert Nix began his legal career in 1999, as a legal assistant for a small firm which practiced bankruptcy, probate and family law.  Following graduation in 2001, Robert took a position as a research paralegal with a prestigious firm specializing in personal injury and worker’s compensation law.  In 2006, Robert accepted the position of Senior Litigation Paralegal, and was responsible for both the civil litigation and criminal defense units.   Robert also has experience in corporate formation, business law, and intellectual property law.

Kelsy Young
Attorney, Invictus Law, PC

Born and raised in the greater Salt Lake City area, Kelsy Young graduated from Westminster College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies. After college, Kelsy moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to attend law school at Thomas M. Cooley. During law school, Kelsy was highly involved in Moot Court. She served on the Moot Court Board as the Special Projects Chair and was also selected to compete in the Appellate Lawyers Association Nation Moot Court Competition in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to enjoying oral advocacy, Kelsy also found a passion for family law by volunteering at the Michigan Legal Assistance Center and clerking for 17th Circuit Court Family Law Judge, the Honorable Kathleen A. Feeney. At the Legal Assistance Center Kelsy assisted pro se litigants with family law issues, small claims and landlord/tenant disputes. While clerking for Judge Feeney, Kelsy sharpened her research and writing skills and received firsthand knowledge about the inner workings of the judicial system.

During her last semester in law school, Kelsy returned to Salt Lake City to complete her internship at the Salt Lake City Prosecutor’s Office. Here, Kelsy was able to put her law school training into practice by representing the City in various motion hearings, bench and jury trials. Upon her law school graduation in May 2011, Kelsy’s internship with the City ended and she joined our firm in the fall of 2011. She is excited be a part of the firm and to begin applying her legal training and knowledge.

Philip L. Martin
Attorney, Invictus Law, PC

Philip graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University’s Marriot School of Management with a degree in Business Management, and an emphasis in Organizational Behavior. With this management degree, he began his professional career as an operations manager for FedEx in Seattle, Washington.

After several years of management at Washington’s largest FedEx station, Philip transferred to Lincoln, Nebraska, and enrolled in law school at the University of Nebraska. While in law school, Philip obtained practical legal experience by serving as a law clerk for two respected law firms specializing in insurance defense work. Philip then graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate degree with Distinction.

Philip received his Colorado license in October 2007, and his Utah license in June 2008. He practiced law in Grand Junction, Colorado, for four years where he representing clients in state and federal Court. During this time, he gained valuable litigation experience in a wide variety of civil litigation matters. In 2011, Philip accepted a position with Invictus Law as a litigation attorney.
